The following courses must be completed to begin Junior level nursing courses and clinical rotations.
Prerequisite Science Courses (3.0 minimum cumulative GPA with no grade lower than C)
- Human Anatomy & Physiology I (with lab)
- Human Anatomy & Physiology II (with lab)
- Microbiology (with lab)
- Introduction to Organic and biochemistry (with lab)
Prerequisite Nursing Courses (3.0 minimum cumulative GPA)
Other Prerequisite Courses
- General Psychology
- Developmental Psychology (Lifespan)
Advising Notes:
- NSG 2500: Introduction to Professional Nursing Concepts is the required gateway course for upper-level nursing courses. You must take this course at Roberts.
- Science prerequisite courses must be completed within five years of your admission to Roberts.
- You can only retake a course once to meet GPA requirements. A maximum of two courses (including nursing and science courses) can be retaken to improve your GPA. Withdrawals count as attempts.
- Online science labs are generally not accepted for the Nursing program.
- Transfer credits are only accepted from regionally accredited colleges and require a minimum grade of C-.
